Emaus
Emmaus aims to prepare and lead the Emmaus Retreat, where participants experience a profound encounter with Jesus. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the retreat has been a point of conversion and renewal for many who have participated, feeling their hearts burning within them as they met Jesus on the road.
The Emmaus Retreat is inspired by the biblical passage in the Gospel of Luke 24:13-35, where the disciples experience a transformative journey through their encounter with Jesus’ love, renewing their lives from the depths of their hearts.
The retreat lasts a weekend and is open to all adults over 18. These retreats are led by laypeople and are available to Catholics and people of other Christian denominations. The Emmaus Retreat is offered separately for men and women twice a year.
The ultimate goal of the retreat is to love Jesus more each day and, through that love, to learn to love our brothers and sisters and to serve in our parish and community.
